Families to enjoy big savings as Wightlink launches Kids Go Free offer for every school holiday in 2019

Families travelling to and from the Isle of Wight can look forward to Kids Go Free offers throughout the year, with Wightlink’s recent announcement that they will be offering Kids Go Free in all school holidays in 2019.* Under 5s always travel free with Wightlink but when the schools break up, families can take up to two children aged 5-15 for free with every adult foot passenger day return ticket.

Families can make the most of this deal throughout 2019 on the following dates:

  • February half term (16 – 24 February)
  • Easter holidays (6 – 23 April)
  • May half term (25 May – 2 June)
  • Summer holidays (20 July – 4 September)
  • October half term (26 October – 3 November)
  • Christmas holidays (21 December – 5 January)

With a jam-packed year, the Isle of Wight offers endless family fun and adventures in 2019. Upcoming half-term activities include Robin Hill Country Park’s Spirit of the Orient event, while Easter is the perfect time to head to the Island to enjoy kayaking, tree-climbing or even discover the Island’s dinosaur footprints. The summer will see family-friendly festivals of all types, from Isle of Wight Pride in July to a brand new family-friendly festival with TV legends Dick and Dom in August. With half the Island designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s a beautiful place to spend time throughout the year and enjoy quality family time away from distractions such as mobile devices, with the opportunity to have a digital detox.

To redeem Wightlink’s Kid’s Go Free offer, customers simply choose their dates of travel on the dedicated offer page, ensuring they fall within the offer period, and the discount will show at the payment stage. This offer is valid for up to two free children for every adult travelling on foot, and families who would like to add extra children outside the offer should make a separate booking.
